IABS has worked with schools and music organisations to bring Barbershop singing to young singers all over Ireland.
IABS ‘Here to Harmonise’ initiative focuses on introducing young singers in primary and secondary schools to the concept of four part harmony and barbershop singers. Since 2021, we have organised multiple successful events in the midlands (Athlone, Birr and Moate), Dublin, Wicklow, Cork and Killarney.
Some of these events have collaborated directly with schools, while others have collaborated with Music Generation and with music schools such as the Irish Institute of Music and Song.
If you are a teacher or youth leader who would be interested in introducing your singers to barbershop, we would love the opportunity to help.
We can provide any or all of the following:
- Music
- Teach tracks
- A visiting educator
