There are two steps to convention regsitration:
STEP 1. Registration of participants and payment of contest entry:
You can do this via our eventbrite link (limited to ten tickets at a time) or email us on iabsconventionteam@gmail.com if you want to fill out one registration form for the whole chorus and pay via bank transfer.
STEP 2. BarberScore registration and completion for contest:
Once you have submitted your entry for the contest, our contest administrator, Catherine, will send one designated person in each chorus/quartet the necessary links for your group to register your group with BarberScore. This is the software that will be used in the contest administration, and produces the scoresheets etc at the end of the contest. It is expected that the links will be available after completion of step 1 in July.
REGISTRATION COSTS
At the IABS Convention, everyone entering the convention centre needs a ticket.
For competitors, this will be a a Delegate Weekend Pass and there is a discount available for competitors aged 18-25.
In addition, every competing chorus and quartet buys a contest entrance ticket.
For choruses, the contest entry fee is €99.
For quartets, the contest entry fee is €60
For youth quartet contest, the contest entry fee is €20.
For youth chorus contest, the contest entry fee is €50.
INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION COSTS
IABS Member weekend pass: €90 (youth member of IABS chorus €45)
International delegate weekend pass: €120 (age 18-25 €50)
After the 1st of July, Late registration fees will be applied:
IABS Member LATE registration weekend pass: €110
International delegate LATE registration weekend pass: €130
AUDIENCE TICKETS
If you are attending the event but not competing, audience tickets are also available. These will only be available for sale from August to October, once the running order for the event has been released. Please return to this website in August for more information.
ACCOMMODATION - click link to see list of hotels available
Negotiated accommodation rates: the IABS team has negotiated rates with both The Gleneagle Hotel and The Brehon Hotel. If you are booking in either of these, make sure that the person taking the booking knows you are attending the IABS Convention.
REHEARSAL ROOMS
The traffic pattern on Chorus Contest day (Saturday) includes 20 minutes in a prep room you can sing in, and 10 minutes in a holding room where you cannot sing. Dressing Rooms are not provided. Please arrive to the prep room stage ready.
At this point you cannot book a room for rehearsal on Saturday, but you can go on the waiting list for this. Rooms will then be allocated once the running order is released. Should your chorus want to book space to rehearse on Thursday or Friday, you can organise this directly with the hotel. You can inquire about Saturday rehearsal rooms and room availability on Thursday/Friday by emailing sandra.lopez@gleneaglegroup.ie. If you are staying in one of the other suggested hotels, you could enquire directly with them for rehearsal space.
MEALS
There are a number of options available for food in the Gleneagle Hotel, from A La Carte restaurant to bar food.
A buffet meal will be available on the Saturday evening (exact time will be available once timetable is made available in August 2026).
